Physical Therapist in an Assisted Living Facility
Seeking a Physical Therapist full-time, part-time, or per diem for an Assisted Living Facility setting in the Baltimore area. This Physical Therapist (PT) need is in an assisted living facility (ALF), so it is a unique setting that most therapists don't have the opportunity to work in. The therapist would treat the residents who live in the assisted living facility who have recently had a hospital stay or who have been referred to PT by their doctors. The assisted living facility has its own rehab room, friendly cooperative environment, and good interdisciplinary communication. We will entertain full-time, part-time, or per diem Physical Therapists who want at least 15 hours per week. For full-time the PT will be required to cover up to 3 Assisted Living Facilities but only two each day-- one in the morning and one in the afternoon. For part-time the Physical Therapist must be willing to cover at least two buildings a week. The facilities are all within a few miles of each other. The Physical Therapist will be paid for drive time in between buildings and have some freedom to get outside for a bit. In addition the schedule is very flexible. The Physical Therapist can start the day whenever the PT chooses - even for full-time the physical therapist is welcome to start anywhere from 8am to 10am for example and then work their day from there. The workday can be set up various ways depending on how many hours per week the physical therapist is hired for. *Pay and Benefits for the Physical Therapist position:* -The Physical Therapist can get paid salary plus benefits, or the hourly per diem rate up to 32 hours. If the candidate wants the hourly per diem rate, they can get $50-$55 per hour without benefits and get paid up to full-time hours at that rate OR the candidate can choose to work 32-40 Hours a week to get paid salary plus benefits - The pay scale for salary with benefits ranges from 72,000 to 82,000 per year depending on Physical Therapy (PT) experience. REQUIREMENTS of the Physical Therapist position: The Physical Therapist must have one year of licensed experience as a Physical Therapist in a sub acute/SNF, Home health or outpatient setting. The Physical Therapist must either have a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy to qualify for this job as well as a license to practice PT in the state. The Physical Therapist must also either be a US citizen or have your green card- no exceptions. The Physical Therapist does NOT need experience in an ALF-- we will accept physical therapists with experience in any of the following: Skilled Nursing Facility, SNF, Visiting Nurse Association, Visiting Nurse Services, outpatient homecare, VNS, VNA, Home Health, Homecare, Outpatient, Inpatient, Medical Adult Day Center, Clinic. For full-time, the therapist must be willing to cover up to 3 Assisted Living Facilities (2 per day).
